Barack Obama’s grand parents tell him stories from past, about his father, his courage, their American culture, and that influenced in the mind of Barack Jr.
The most influential of all story that was told by granny about his father was of a bar where a white man refuses to sit with a black.
Their Obama’s father, instead of fight, gave a lecture to that person on equality of man, American dream, etc. That resulted in great rewards.
Also, the grand father keep telling Obama about colonialism and his father doing PhD, at times when Obama had no understanding of what colonialism is or what PhD is about.
The influence of stories told by his grand parents can be seen in the books that Obama wrote and in his speeches when he is talking about the American Dream.
